HOW I CURED MY ACNE (Cystic, Digestive, Hormonal) | Organic Olivia
I suffered with acne all throughout high school and into college. Today I’m talking about how I finally achieved clear skin, the root causes of acne (what your body is trying to tell you!), the supplements I used, and the diet/skin care changes I made. I had cystic acne along with whiteheads AND blackheads (the whole shebang), and my root causes were both digestive and hormonal (forehead and cheeks/jaw).

  1. i am honestly so glad I found you you are beautiful Olivia !!! thankyou so much I would never have found this info elsewhere …!

  2. This was the most informative video and best general information I have seen in so long. I had never had acne in my life until the last year, and have been struggling with hormonal, cystic, and painful blemishes. After getting on acne medication, getting regular facials, and seeing doctors I still was left with minimal answers. It’s affected my self confidence and overall well being. Thank you for taking the time to not only educate, but help and comfort all of us who are currently struggling with these obstacles. I can’t wait to try all of these things to my skin back to where I need it to be. You have a new subscriber from me!

  3. Thank you for this! I’m going to try it and hope for the best. I feel pretty confident because you are just so informative.

  4. Girl, hats down to you! here I am sitting in awe, you are so informed this is one of the best videos I’ve seen in my life and I’m 31. and had mild acne and whiteheads, blackheads since I was 13. from time to time they get cystic, again it’s not as bad as some people have, I am greatfull for that at least, but I’m really tired of it and it left a mark though the years on my skin, scars, pores, pigmentation.. also been going through some hard stressful time in my life last years and sort of gave up on ever having clear skin. your video got me so optimistic to get into the fight again. 🙂

  5. I have a question about dairy since I’ve heard from so many sources it’s good to cut it out. I was never a fan of milk, but I do love me some cheeses, hard, fresh, cottage.. but I would totally try to ditch it. I was wondering does the same apply to plain yogurt though? I’ve heard different views on that so I am not sure. I like to use it in smoothies or mix it with flax seed so I was wondering is yogurt bad too? I’d definitely like to hear more about dairy and other types of foods that attribute to breakouts. for example I learned these past few month I get bad breakouts from Brazilian nuts, definitely from them. which is weird cuz I wanted to take them cuz they are said to be great source of anti-oxidants and vitamin e, b-complex, lower LDL, rich in selenium, all thing that on paper should be great for your skin but it make me have cystic acne from out of the blue which stopped as soon as I stopped eating 1-2 nuts a day. any experience with that?

  6. I use l-lysine to get rid of canker sores too. I’ll have to add it to my list if acne helps as well now! 🙂

  7. This video is amazing! Thank you so much! So informative and interesting. I can’t wait to see how my acne improves with some of your advice above! X

  8. Wow, this is the best Acne story I have ever watched. You said so much information about things I have never even heard about but you said it in a way that was so easy to understand. I am also jealous about how smart you are! Going to try everything you said to help deal with my acne as you’ve convinced me that it is going to help! x thank you!

  9. Thank you so much for this video. It was very informative and I can tell that you did A LOT of research! 🙂

  10. Hi I just wanted to say I appreciate all the work and research you’ve done in order to get to the root of healing yourself (and now others!). I’ve been following you blog and youtube page lately as I am on a similar journey towards self-healing. I’ve been doing my own research and have taken your advice on the lysine! One thing I did find is that lysine is a useful nutrient in the bone marrow > bone marrow produces > macrophages produce lymphocytes > and lymphocytes help destroy bacteria and dead cells.. Since we have a large collection of lymph nodes in our neck I’m starting to think that clogged sluggish nodes in that area are responsible for my acne that is concentrated on my jaw line ad cheeks. So with decreased functionality of lymph nodes near the neck (possibly due to overall neck blockage..I get really sore there all the time!) maybe the production of white blood cells (lymphocytes in this case) is low and lysine helps to with the production/transportation of these types of macrophages by way of helping out our bone marrow nutritional profile…. Hmmm anyway THANK YOU SO MUCH for these vids! 🙂

  11. I have had acne since I was 13 and I am 55 now and still break out, my dermatologist put me on retinal A cream, great for wrinkles , but I still break out! So thank you for giving answers, my mom said your acne will go away when you are 18. Well that wasn’t true. If you think you are embarrassed as a teenager, well try it a 55. People look at you like you do drugs and that’s why your face is broken out. Since the age of 13 I have felt very ugly, so now I can get going on all of these items that Olivia suggest to take. Thank you Olivia!

  12. Thank you so so much for being so factual and thorough with your answers! I’ve seen so many videos and yours has resonated with me, I feel like I actually learned something and I may be able to make the lifestyle changes I need to in order to kick this acne in the butt! 🙂 Thanks again!!
